A Friend from the Past
Many of you probably do not know Sonia from the past. I have known Sonia since 1980. Before she established herself in her present career as a realtor, I worked with Sonia in many charities that benefited a lot of causes for Anaheim Memorial Hospital. She was on the Board of Directors of the Anaheim Memorial Foundation for many years and twice chaired the “Encore Ball” - the Annual Black Tie Event. Funds benefited the many equipment items needed at that time, including the MRI and Heart Machine. She is the founder of THE SERVE FOR THE CURE, an annual tennis tournament benefiting Breast Care for the hospital. She was the first woman to be a director of the Double Eleven Club, an all men’s club, a support arm of the Foundation and first woman to chair the club’s prestigious Annual Golf Tournament. All the years I have worked with Sonia have been a pleasure and an honor and I wish her the best on her 30th year in Peralta Hills.
